This shot was hand held in low light at 1/40th second.
So a little camera shake is evident.

Apparently your ok photographing pretty much everything as long as you don’t photograph the police, military or government/ military buildings. What I read was don’t flaunt or flash expensive belongings due to most everyone being so poor. And what ever you do never ever criticize any Cuban official especially a Castro, living or otherwise. I know a couple of people who have been to Cuba recently. One took a point and shoot, the other shot with a cell phone which she always does. Neither had any issues. Jim

Honestly I can’t remember the last time I actually left the USA, no doubt it would have my last cruise about 10 years ago. Mexico! Keep in mind that some parts of Missouri’s are not unlike Mexico and no passport required. We are booked on a cruise to Cuba in May which I’m looking forward to but will not be taking a DSLR campers along, cell only. From what I’ve read you don’t want to flash expensive jewerly or electronics since the average Cuban is very poor. Paul

OT, but the Nexus card is great. It also provides Global Entry, which speeds international arrival at U.S. airports considerably. Dave

Really nice. I like the composition and colors. BTW - I really don't see much/any shake here; branches on the tree in upper left look fine to me. I don't pixel peep as much as I used to. Jim

Yes, I find this curious...and what follows is not a criticism...it is just meant to maybe be helpful. This is a fine camera, great lens...as I think about it maybe a little or very heavy...this could cut both ways....hummm....regardless 1. Assume the stance...by this I mean, think like a sniper, and this click of the camera will save your very precious life...so Elbows in to your side, feet apart to form a solid base... Hold your breath...seriously hold your breath...practice this so it becomes second nature...at 1/800 a second, as well as 1/10... Squeeze the trigger....I mean press the shutter button softly...so softly, but firmly, that you don't know when it is going to click...(now you can breath, not before) Take three individual shots...at home pick the best ********** While you are getting use to these new habits...think about also maybe using mirror lock up...I only use it on 1/10sec and lower hand held, and if it is an important shot...but it is not that difficult to dial this up either maybe always. It is entirely possible that the very fine.ness of the camera is the potential problem...it is heavy, solid, but the full pentaprisim may cause shutter shock when it fires. So mirror lock-up could be a life saver! Lastly, to Paul...I am not anti-tripod, (and interestingly, I used it much more often with the heavy 6D!)...I always have a light weight one in my car, and kind of a heavy.ish mono.pod also...they are always there....but technique pretty much gets me to where I need to be, so I don't use them often. I figured as much but was curious since those of you that live close to the border and no doubt cross often. When I renewed my passport earlier this year I got both the passport book and the card. Next I also got the Real ID drivers license but that was a hassle since my SSA card had to be changed, my full name wasn’t on the card. Government red tape! Paul.

Many thanks for the comments. Yes you do need a passport to enter Canada and return to the US. There are two other documents you can use instead, but you need to show a US passport to get either one of them. One is the "enhanced drivers license," and the other is a Nexus pass.

A wonderful scene even with the touch of shake. You’ll need to have Traveller teach you his technique for slow shutter speed photography, I think he’s got this thing about using tripods. 1/40 and under is where he lives. When you visit Canada do you need your passport to cross back and forth? Paul
