Diminished Diamonds

By the time I went outside this morning the frost on the grass had started to melt.

I wonder what kind of result my 135 f/2 (the lens I thought I had mounted when I grabbed the camera) would have produced at the chosen aperture.

Not an alarm clock issue. I was up and out of bed (dogs ensure that). I was careless about checking what lens was on the camera. My assumption was wrong.

I'm well aware of the DOF difference. It's more a quality issue. Would I, for instance, have gotten that blue refraction? Would the bokeh balls be bigger? Etc.

I can answer your hypothetical question narrower DOF, if it can focus that close. I like the blue refraction's. Paul

Almost on time. A nice capture.
I don't think it was a lens issue - just an alarm clock issue.

Nice...I didn't think this would work, but it does. Best Wishes, Traveller
