Light painting

Tubac, AZ

We went to Tubac to see the Christmas luminaries. Here, I wanted to capture the boots with some light painting. I decided to try my smart phone for the light source. A couple of shots were really bad - I had forgotten that the front of the phone was also visible and I got large intruding light streaks.

This one is "Almost" perfect, except for the lower left phone streak.
Later I switched to a small penlight and got what I wanted.

Love those deep rich colors, very nice. Luminaries, most US citizens don’t call them luminaries. I think it was in the 2002 NEC code revision where they changed the definition of light fixtures to Luminars. So here we are 16 years later and things can’t seem to change because I will forever call them light fixtures since Latin is not my native language. Somewhere around that same time they also made metric the standard for linear measurement and again I and everyone I know measures by feet and inches rather meters and millimeters. I have a 30 foot Fat Max tape measure, not 10 meter. Paul
