And it was a great time, she did that for several years. Mrs Smith would make cookies and hot coco for everyone that showed up. Since I was running the 6 inch refactor (that sucker was 6 feet long) I got double cookies. Her husband Joe was running the 12 inch cat he got triple or maybe even more after all was gone. ;-] Paul

Makes me want for the old days when a previous neighbor who was a teacher would bring home the school district telescopes for a evening star party for her class. These were no ordinary scopes, one was a 6 inch F8 Newtonian refractor and the other was a fast 12 inch Schmidt–Cassegrain. I’d kill the street lights on the block and we had wonderful time teaching the kids the wonders of the night sky. Paul
