Mr. T I’m such a skinny peep that if I’d been up in the thin dry mountain air at 63 degrees I’d been downright chilly. More Than likely I’d had Long jeans and a nice hoody. Being a twerp has some advantages and disadvantages! At first I thought you went up to Griffith Observatory but I don’t think it’s high enough to drop the air temperature 20 + degrees. That would make it about 5000 feet or so. Paul
It does look as if it could be, doesn’t it. To me this looks alien, spooky, but the truth is...this is the summit of Mt. Wilson, 5,713ft, here in Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Mountains.
I drove up last night try to maybe get some picturers of the Perseids Meteor Shower...but alas, while I saw four faintly coming out of Cassiopedia, it was still a poor outing and far too close tot the vast glow of city lights from Los Angeles below.
And yet, laying on my back in shorts looking up through mountain pines, the air temperature being a chilly 63 degrees while the city below was cooking in sweltering urban hotness was nice; quiet and I could almost hear the insects gathering to bite and bother me.
