Dave - nothing. All the birds at the Desert Museum are trained but allowed to have "free flight". Sometimes they disappear for a day or two, but they always come back. I was there once when they had a hawk they were showing off. The hawk decided to fly off to about 300-500 ft in the air, then proceeded to hunt for a while. He returned 15-20 min later for his handler's "treat".
