As always a great and interesting shot! This is about the size of the farming town I grew up in NE Kansas called Whiting. We had about 200 people back then and around 180 ish now so you got us beat by close to double the population. I don't remember any parades but there was one citizen that would walk into our country store on July 1st and tell my mother he would pay 50 cents per child to have fireworks. She just had to write down the names of the kids and where they were from claiming the black cat firecrackers and just like that everyone was popping them off in town. Paul
