I’ll tell you exactly what flat lighting is and how it’s accomplished. Flat lighting is a subject that is evenly lit from all angles, it is achieved by using a large bright light source close to the surface of the object or model being photographed. In my case I have two side by side (6) lamp T54 5000K high bay light fixtures on the ceiling of my basement and then I hand held a large sheet of velumn very close to the surface when I shot this to kill all the shadows.
