A Day in the Life

I read the news today, oh boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well, I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph
He blew his mind out in a car;
He didn't notice that the lights had changed

No cheating. Simply good inspired work.

Thanks, Paul, this feels a little like cheating, using someone else's work as a base, but if you are in a hurry...and tired...lol....and you change it a lot...what the hell...(grin)

My hats off to you mr T, great lighting and a radical change from the pending version. Paul

I was thinking of setting some small dolls on fire...I think they cost like 3 dollars or something...but I didn't have any lighter fluid, (I do have lacquer thinner, but that stuff is truly volatile)...I ended up at LACMA, saw a Picasso from 1965(?) in scratchy crayon...which I really liked, and thought that I should write some text and scratch it out over a self portrait, but unlike smart Dave, I'm going to start calling Davev, Smart Dave, that's my new nic for him...

Anyhooooo, I was very tired and unlike Smart Dave, most of my images are not accessible without pulling a 2T hard drive from storage...so I went with what I had on my current shoot, (also to keep within the rules), and so I used a sculpture I shot at LACMA, greatly modified, wrote over it, but the scratched out part using pencil in PS didn't work very well, so the text had to be changed and changed again...(original image is over in pending)...

No cheap plastic dolls were harmed in making this entry for the Challenge!

And I was, 90 minutes in, quite pleased with myself and the results.

Best Wishes, Traveller
