Anole Lizard

I captured this little "monster" in the backyard this morning. Rules broken: the subject is back-lit; I used a "kit" lens for extreme closeup (macro); and, I shot the macro handheld instead of with a tripod.

Thanks, Paul. These little guys are just about everywhere here. I've never seen one in the house, but I'm sure it does happen. They are harmless to humans and are really beneficial in that they eat many insects ... especially mosquitoes!

The idea behind this challenge was to break time tested and well proven rules but still come up with a great shot, two thumbs up. You seem to have a lot of these anoles roaming your yard which gives you plenty of great photo ops. Do they by chance find their way into homes too? Paul
