Thousands of Reflections

I let the camera create most of the light.
This was one of the most intense snow squalls I've experienced since moving to Michigan (and that means something, coming from Rochester, NY), and I am pretty pleased with the results of my impulsive experiment.
I don't believe there are any polar bears hiding out there.

4-8 inches forecast here for Friday night into Saturday. Hopefully it won't interfere with our son's trip home from college. My drive home at the end of my freshman fall semester was a white-knuckler. No repeat necessary.

It has warmed up to 10F here. I need to go out and pull the plug for our pond's pump. I plugged in the breather last week and said "see you in the spring" to the fish.

Freezing rain starts off the activities for north east Kansans folks with 2-4 inches of snow coming nudging it's way in later Saturday and Sunday. Guess I better go fuel up and check to make sure the snow blower is working. Phooey!! Well actually I'm hoping for a cold hard winter, not Minnesota cold by any means but very Kansas cold. Why you ask because I'm hoping that will kill off those blasted and very annoying oak tree mites we've been plagued with for the past 2 years. They are awful! Paul

This is what I'll be seeing when I get back to MN this weekend. Forecast on Sat is pretty ugly - 8 in of snow, lower single digits (read very cold), and a stiff wind ( read even colder).
