Ken, in Kansas we experience those all the time. I can take it even further, I've seen times where it was pouring a block away but we are bone dry and the sun is shinning. I like this very much even tho I'm jealous your gettin rain while if you walk in my yard barefooted you might draw blood. And if not the yellow jackets might take a swipe at you. Paul.
