I think it's terrific, and I wouldn't get too caught up in the definition of "panorama." To me, this qualifies. It would be great to see more ideas of "panorama" that are in other kinds of spaces than landscapes. (If not now, then in a future challenge -- "unconventional panoramas.")

Jim, excellent job on both images. I can't tell that they're stitched! As to whether or not they're panoramas, again we need to agree on a definition of "panorama." - Ken

Separate from the discussion below, I like this because it is a part of the Cinque Terre I have not seen and one I imagine is seldom shared. Dave

Hi, Traveller. I have to admit that I hesitated about entering this image (and the other two, as well.) But I looked up "panorama" and found a number of definitions. According to Wikipedia, "A panorama … is any wide-angle view or representation of a physical space, whether in painting, drawing, photography, film, seismic images or a three-dimensional model." On the other hand, the Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a panorama as "a full and wide view of something." Well, this is not a "full" view, but it is a "wide" view. It was shot at 24mm on full frame, making it a diagonal angle of view of 84-degrees (according to Canon lens specs). The Eiffel Tower image I entered in this contest was also shot at 24mm, thus the same field of view and "wideness." The other image I entered - "Little Venice" - was shot at 35mm, so it has less "wideness" than either of the other two. In fact, most of the other images entered so far in this challenge have less angle of view than the tunnel image. I guess what it boils down to is that we either need a definitive definition of "panorama" or we just let the voters decide. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. - Ken

Traveller - I'll add something else in pending for you to think about. I have a couple of airplanes shot in a "museum" where my available lens wouldn't capture it all - so I shot multiple frames and stitched them together with pano software. A pano or not?

Fascinating! But I suppose it is wide enough...Hummm....I don't want you to remove this, but when I get home, I'd like to discuss with a smart person, which you are, ways in which this is a panorama. (smart conversation is hard to come by) Traveller
