Thanks, Paul. Thanks, Jim. When the waters come up you see people wearing all sorts of things to keep dry. Some people were wearing garbage bags and/or store bags on their feet. According to Rick Steves, Venice floods about 100 times a year -- usually from October until late winter. He says that, in the last century, Venice has sunk by about nine inches. - Ken
