Well, if you *did* it (on purpose), then I as well can imagine how ;-) And, yes, Zermatt is still basically free of motor vehicles (except for a few electrically driven taxis that neither make any noise nor do they pollute the air). ~ db.

I visited your country in 1971 we went to see Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Zermatt fascinated me, it really did. No motor vehicles at all. I assume its still that way even now. Paul.
P.S. Peter knows how I did it.

As a Swiss citizen I suggest buying a Swiss Army compass; none of mine ever led me in the wrong direction ;-)) Maybe not having the two so close to one another might solve the problem...? ~ db.

Why.....I don't know what you are talking about Peter! There is not such thing as "mysterious forces"! No siree, none. Paul

There must be mysterious FORCES at work here.... ;-)

It helps to unlock them.

Ah ha, so..... Peter caught on to it! You have to look close and know what you are looking at to see it. Paul

But which way is North??

Nicely composed and captured.
I grew up with these "devices". No batteries needed. As long as I had looked at a map before I ventured out, they never let me down.
