My comments mirror exactly what Jim said, I grew up in rural northern Kansas and we had two clothes dryers and you have shown one of Them. The other dryer was another set of lines strung across the basement for winter time or when it was raining. One huge difference would be instead of a plastic laundry basket we used a apple bushel basket.
