2nd (tie)--Fire Eater by Michael Kilpatrick

Is this symmetrical? I took it last night, after the challenge started, but before the topic had been announced. If I retreat to the far end of the room, close one eye and hold my head at an angle of 45 deg, I can convince myself that it's on-topic.
Seriously, there's arguably an axis of loose symmetry from the bottom left corner to the top right corner, but if the consensus is that it's off topic, I'll remove it.

Absolutely nails what I had in mind, and well on topic for me. The strongest visual symmetry I see is the shape and lighting of the arms, emphasised more so due to being on diagonals. A looser, but still present symmetry is the diagonal formed by the fire sticks in relation to the forearms. A great start to the challenge Michael. Step away from the move button! Regards, -Najinsky

Actually, I see more symmetry in the split fingers of fire.

several of the elements seem to "mimick" or "loosly match" each other when i look at this image. if you call what i observe "loose symmetry" then it must be. either way, it's a marvelous shot!! shu
