Well, I love both images! Though, artistically...I suppose the prior one is...cleaner, a better frame, less busy...bu this is special and terrific also.

Best Wishes, Traveller

don't get me wrong....the overall image is beautiful. i'm sorry, but i don't understand some of the technical aspects so naturally i thought a crop was fine. again, it's a beautiful image, naj (can you do anything but.....??? LOL) shu

Thanks for the comments shu and Ken, much appreciated. Shu, it's already quite a severe crop and going further reveals the noise grain which didn't suit the image. It was shot through a lot of foliage and I tried lots of crops (it was shot portrait) to remove a lot of messy periphery but it remained messy so in the end I decided to keep it slightly wider and lessen the severity of the periphery with a vignette. I may try some more alternatives later but I'd gotten to the stage where I'd looked at it too long and decided to post where I'd got to. Regards, -Najinsky

Another great image, Najinsky! I like how the "reverse" vignette pulls your eye to the center of interest. And the detail you captured with the 70-200mm f/4 ... great! Well done! -- Ken

nice fade! i think a tighter crop would bring the "lady" closer? shu
