You had me fooled, Traveler, I was convinced it was a toy car that you lit from the bottom. Your description makes this shot all the more impressive. Great catch! I'm sorry for your troubles with your hearing. -- Leo

Hand held??? That's really good, I have issues when I do that on a tripod with lens wobble and all. Got my vote! PAul

Well, Thank You db, after arguing ad infinitum wide angle, the conveying of Dense information is the be all and end all in photography....I understand your....surprise....lol

But I do....not lots, but some pretty "out there," work...not cutting edge because I'm not good enough, but at least I think about it....(grin).

Best Wishes, Traveller

What a surprise, Traveller: after so many years of knowing you, we discover suddenly a completely new, additional facet of your photographic style(s). And I do like it: Well done, indeed! — db.

I can't hear you laugh....(that's a joke, a pretty good one I think)....I am somewhat sure that I will be absolutely fine...though I am mild disagreement with my docs at the moment for the best way forward. Eventually....

ha ha ha --- well, i guess loss of hearing is no laughing matter. as for me, i always keep repeating myself "huh?" "huh?" "huh?" haven't learned to read lips yet, but i guess that's a good idea! shu

It was my Trusty T1i....(I am so looking for a new camera...for a trip down the Mekong...it's gotta be small, small, small? {so it is more difficult to be robbed...lol})

It was AWB, shot JPEG, but I popped the red both in the Chanel Mixer in CS5, as well as a little (9% saturation and some vibrance also in CS5).

I really wanted to shoot liquids on a mirror, but I didn't have time to go buy one that would work....btw, while diving, old man that I am, I've lost most of my hearing...sigh...of course I lost about 40% in the war....but still to lose the rest has been...unusual.

I do seem to be getting some back...you know me, never complain, never explain...a warrior's way.

(but I did weep for myself the other night...I haven't mentioned this anywhere or to anyone except here...for the time being, I'm reading people's lips without them knowing...well...confession is good for the soul).
Best Wishes, Traveller

Excellent image Traveller. The effect has worked very well with a great balance of car detail and light streaks from the reflections. Bravo.

Which camera was used? The reds are beautiful and I'm reliably informed Canons can't do reds. Please tell me it was a Canon! -Najinsky

Yes, like Mr. Smith being broken up in the Matrix Movies....that's the effect here.

This car was in a parking garage, lots of reflections off of its shiny surface....I had a tripod with me...but was hungry for lunch....lol....and so shot about ten of these hand held until I found something interesting...

Click with right hand, hold camera in left, Zoom in during 1s exposure...I was personally shocked at how well it turned out.

Best Wishes, Traveller

How did you do this? Did you zoom during exposure? The effect is excellent, the reflections look like 3d rays coming out of the car. -Gerald
