I think that's a upper arm with a shirt sleeve in the foreground so i'll bet this guy is a good 4 to 6 inches (100-150cm) or more long. Paul

There is much to like about this shot. And much to wonder about as well. How did you get that good a focus with the lens wide open and the subject only a foot or so away? Was this a macro?
