Grapes for Wine

Wollersheim Winery, Prairie du Sac, WI

I was traveling this last week, and stopped at a winery in Wisconsin. I was pleasantly surprised - it greatly exceeded my expectations.

This is a small cluster of grapes found on a vine as we entered the fields.

I think this works much better. Regards, Charlie.

I think the small, local wineries are the best. You usually get a charming landscape with good photo opportunities, in addition to some tasty wines. Nice capture, Jim. I am thinking that the out of focus area on the upper left is not helping draw attention to the grapes, as blurry backgrounds are supposed to do. Perhaps a tighter crop?

I know what you mean by the surprise. Even here in Kansas they are making some pretty darn good wines. This place is my favorite local winery and they claim to have won a few awards. So instead of 2 Buck Chuck we have $14 buck Somerset.
