Grasshopper

I just wish the grasshopper was more towards the center of the flower more. Funny thing is the bride holding this bouquet freaked when the grasshopper decided to leave the security of the flower and jumped on her chest. :)

This was another one of those shots where I didn't take it for this challenge but it just fit.

Insects seem rarely to be cooperative foto models. The fact that the grasshopper is somewhere near the point where the lines of third cross helps to draw the attention there. -Gerald

Yah, it's sort oh difficult to draw attention to the little critter with all that's going on with that flower. But it still fits the main topic here. It probably wont win but it's still an interesting shot I think.

Here again, a definite improvement. The grasshopper is still easy to spot, though my eye is drawn more towards the flower than to its visitor.

I adjusted the contrast a bit on this one as well. I didn't want to lose the color of the grass hopper but the slight adjustment really brought out the pedals of the sunflower in this one. I hope it doesn't take away from the main subject.

And like the lamp/flower shot, it fits the challenge nicely. Overall, I like the colors and the contrast between the sharp center and the blurred background. Here again, the image might benefit by taking the brightness down a notch.
