14-AUG-2011 Michael Puff

vesti la giubba

I believe this was last seen in CIC 14 Exhibition. It's one of the few self portraits that I've done.

This is the primary reason that I've been absent of late from the challenges. This is a photo of a platinum/palladium print of the image entered in CIC14 Exhibition. I've been working at using digital capture, printing negatives from the digital capture, and creating traditional hand-crafted platinum/palladium prints. This is not the original digital capture, but rather a photo of the actual platinum/palladium print created from the original digital image. I think of the challenges often and plan to return regularly at some point. However, for me, photography has always been about the print and right now my focus is on handmade prints from digital capture. This is a fun and exciting journey for me.

I think of you often Michael (and Vikas) and miss your entries, although I notice you still vote which is appreciated. I look forward to return, however it happens. You are a true master of lighting your scenes to capture exquisite detail, and it still shines through on this photo of a print. Regards, -Najinsky
