The Storms of Athena Brew

The Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee, built in 1897 for their Centennial, later re-constructed anew in 1920, 1925 and 1931 as the only full scale replica of the Parthenon in Athens...built because Nashville was...The Athens of the South.

Amazing building and the way you shot it I could believe that it was the real one. Well done! ~Sharon

This is impressive. I'd be yearning to get a night shot with those spots at the base flooding the scene.

I want to see Athena too. Post post post....

The way I read Techo's original post it would be allowed because he says "color is secondary" and then mentions "see and think without the full range of color". I say go for it, I think you once said to me "the voters will decide" ! Paul

Are we allowed to do selective color?!? I saw that excellent cat image but, because it was a partial de-sat, I thought it would not be permitted. Humm? What do you think? BTW, this was B&W then treated with a single yellow filter for the toning.

Best Wishes, Traveller

Maybe you could still post her picture but using selective color. Now that would be cool! Paul

Me too...it is a remarkable building, the inside statute of Athena with 8 pounds of leaf gold on it was impressive also. I thought of posting her, but it is kind of inherently a color picture. Traveller

Do you ever stay at home Traveller?? Very nice, for a moment I thought you were in Athens. Paul
