...no idea what this is. I do not have a green thumb. All I know is they are attached to a tall bush. Heck, it may have been a short tree. All I know is they looked like they needed to be photographed.

Looks like a hydrangea to me.
There's a nice ranges of tones in this shot. It has sort of an abtrast appeal where it's less about the flowers and more about the shapes of the flower bunches.
