Well, I still think it's fricking genius....and maybe has a special resonance in me. I sigh again....Traveller

Thank you Sharon, Paul and most particularly Traveller for such kind and supportive words.

Traveller, the allowed reflections in the mirror were limited to just the books and the mirror's frame, all other reflections were cut out (Layer via Cut with a refined edge). But that bit of business is really not as critical as attention to perspective and light. The perspective of the street scene, basically a one-point perspective, needed to be recreated with an eye for scale for the book scene. Likewise, the weird overcast light from the street scene also needed to be at least attempted to be mimicked with subdued ambient light for the book scene. All shots in both scenes were bracketed 2 stops; i.e., +2, 0, -2, shot in bursts and processed HDR (Fusion method) in PTGui. Our young Alice, as only happenchance permitted, is afforded multiple images with special attention/ masks in post processing.

Wonderful, Kelly! I love the reflections of the books in the mirror but not anything else that should be in the room behind us. Excellent! ~Sharon

Traveller is right, how could one not vote for this one! I envision it as a portal to a parallel dimension.

I didn't know you could vote for an image more than once.
