Thanks, Paul, for the excellent explanation. Again, compliments on a wonderful image.

Thanks for the comments, if the truth were known it was a accidental test shot for exposure, lighting angles and DOF for a water drop shot I was setting up. I dropped water drops on a Plexiglas sheet, then I used 2 Canon speedlights reflecting off a 2 pieces of poster board. One grey and one was gold. I had a slice of a red filter covering part of one of the speedlights to give a kiss of red. There is no photoshop work on this image. Raw conversion only. I did play with the color temp in raw to enhance the golden look.

By the way, originally I was going to upload a image with a different crop, with the main drop slightly up and to the left... I just selected the wrong image when I uploaded it here. Oops!

Just gorgeous! As with Nico, I'm curious how you did this. Thanks for the entry though. Traveller

Excellent, Paul. Wonderfully lit. (I would love to hear from you how this shot was put together.) Compliments and regards. Nico

I third that Paul: Beautifully done. I wonder what a crop of just the center drop would look like? Maybe more "minimal"? But I love it the way it is!

I second that emotion. I like the detail ans reflections.
