Yep, Nico strikes again. I like the simplicity of this shot. The lighting and contrast make the model seem almost as if it's a bronzed statue...

If I would want to select the supreme representation of solitude, I would choose this image. A towering work ... with all this writing on the wall ...

Thanks! :-)

This is great! Wonderful use of imagination, creativity, and empty space. jano

It's common (in the US at least) to tally this way in groups of 5. You know our reputation for being math adverse. LOL. It is much less common to be able to express an emotion so clearly without words. You've done a great job with the deep shadows and the dark mood of the photo. I love to see your work. - CameraShy09

so much for the "deeper meaning!"LOL i think this image is fantastic no matter how many marks are on the wall.....such creativity! shu

Thanks, Kelly. Thanks, shu.

When I made the chalk marks on the wall, I did so without much reflection on exactly how these marks could be interpreted, to be honest. I made groups of 5 and then put a 6th line through horizontally, kind-of to "group" those five together. Perhaps it should have been groups of 7 or or 10, I am not too sure...?

Kind regards Nico

on my monitor the marks show groups of 5----is the number decreasing just to keep us interested? LOL shu

the marks are the extra touch to an already compelling shot and keep the viewer on the page for some time fantasizing about its deeper meaning. shu

Hey Nico!

Evocative shot! ... but it also evokes a question; why mark groups of six?
