Doel is a village, located on the left side of the river Scheldt and is known for its Nuclear Plant.
Doel is threatened with complete demolition due to the future enlargement projects of the harbour of Anwerp.
Over the years, people have started leaving their houses, what remaines is a village with abandonded and demolished houses, and some people still living there, unwilling to leave the village that is their home.
Works of art and poems decorate the houses, in a plead to save the village.
