The square masonry features near the south post poles may have been sweathbaths, plank-covered foot drums,
or receptacles where corn and bean plants were grown during winter months to insure through ritual, a plentiful crop next summer.
One of these squares is in the foreground while the second can just been on the right side of this picture.
