Remembrance Day

France's oldest survivor of the Great War and it's oldest resident,
Maurice Floquet passed away last night aged 111 years.

1,430,000 French soldiers died during the Great War.

111 years on earth is a major accomplishment. May he rest in peace. Some wars have to be fought and we should remember those who gave their all fighting them. Some wars should never be started and we should closely examine world leaders who wage them.

Rather ironic...I hope his life was good, despite his early years of seeing conflict & pain. May he rest in peace with his fallen comrades. A lovely tribute, Chris.
