Touching and sadly these are abundant where I live.

it's a small sign of love... to remember... that's a nice way to pay a tribute!

Very sad! We have so many accidents here!!

See these everywhere here too. It is scary! And, very sad. Maybe this will serve as a reminder to be careful. ;)

There´s a young man´s memorial on my way to suburbia, I pass each day. After five years parents still bring fresh flowers from time to time. A sad reminder indeed.

These roadside memorials are very popular in Oregon. Especially among the first nation -Native American communities.

There are quite a lot of those in the vicinity of where I live ........ every time I pass one it reminds me of how short and unpredictable life can be. A special notice .. Thanks for sharing.

That always makes me sad when I see these on the side of the road.

Yes so sad...In our country they find they cause accidents so there is a time period it can be on the road side I think..

I think that these markers are fitting both as a sort of tribute and a warning. People here in the UK leave bunches of flowers at accident sites but I think that there are Bye-Laws preventing anything more permanent in a lot of Counties.

Customary here too. Always sad to see. Many along our roadside, some are maintained with flowers.
Yvonne18-Mar-2012 11:12
Same here... we have fatality markers on all the popular country roads and one
often sees flowers and other tributes placed by the markers.
Stephanie18-Mar-2012 11:11
How tragic for the families too.....
Sheila18-Mar-2012 11:05
Very, very sad.
Our roads are lined with them. It horrifies me when we go on a 3-5 hour road trip, just how many there are.
