Abingdon County Hall

Abingdon County Hall – one of Abingdon’s finest buildings, built between 1678 and 1684 by Christopher Kempster, a pupil of Sir Christopher Wren.
Housed the Berkshire Assize Court for over 200 years, until 1869 when Abingdon ceased to be an assize town. It now houses the local museum.
