Gang Gang Cockatoos - Gang-gang Cockatoo - gang gangs ( Callocephalon fimbriatum ) - South eastern Australia

With their feather duster type crests, owl-like bodies and "creaky door hinge" noises, I just love the Gang Gang Cockies.
They would visit us during Autumn or Winter and spend hours devouring seed pods, great for photos.
Adult males have red heads with grey bodies. Females and immature birds have salmon and yellow barring on them.
