I think there is too much of a good thing going on here. When I opened the image in its original size it automatically cropped to a horizontal which I think is more pleasing to the eye in this case. Placing the bridge in the lower third lost the beautiful blue reflection in the water but brought up the sky and one can actually see the detail in the bridge. Placing the bridge in the upper third lost the sky but brought in just enough of the relection to let one know that there was a cloudless sky going on, still retained the bridge detail and I think the better of the two crops. IMHO.

Although it's a great image with a lot of mood, I can see what Peter means: for me the left bank is a little dangerous too. Maybe I would crop it up to the point whre water and bank meets and a little in the forground. Just my humble opinion, Kevin.

For me the lack of an exciting foreground doesn't matter , the sweep of the river bank leads the eye and adds a nice symetry to the picture , excellent. (but what the hell do I know ! LOL...)

Its quite an interesting image, although I feel it lacks a focal point in the foreground, taking the bank, it leads you up the image, although it feels dangerously close to the left edge of the frame to me. The top half of the image though, is stunning, lovely light and reflection and love the way the path seems to disappear in to the trees. All in all the top half is great, but I think it losses out with no real foreground, using a longer lens might have improved.

Lovely curve of the shore line leading the eye up to the charming bridge. V
