7 Danger

melbourne, Australia

I never have encountered a snake, but I'm very afraid of them.
Luckily there are everywhere signs to warn to be aware of snakes.

Australia has over 140 species of land snake, and around 32 species of sea snakes,
which have been recorded in Australian waters.
Around 100 Australian snakes are venomous, although only 12 are likely to inflict a wound that could kill you.

This would certainly keep me from entering. Great entry.

That sign "slow down for snakes" would stop me dead in my tracks!
Cindi Smith08-Oct-2009 01:06
Yep, that would definately be dangerous. Be careful where you walk!

Oh! not that I'm bothered by snakes but I'd rather not run the risk of treading on one!!!

Good idea for the challenge. Some snakes can be dangerous. Good example

Good advice here. Just avoid the snakes and let them go about their business. Most don't want any trouble...

promises promises is what I say when I see or hear anyone saying there are snakes in the area.. I've been hoping to find a rattlesnake to take a photo of for years! (from a safe distance)..I just don't get out enough. lol good entry!

Cool shot for danger. Making people aware of snakes and teaching them about them goes a long way. We have a lot of rattlesnakes here, yet I've never heard of anyone being bitten. I come across them from time to time and just avoid them.

We have these in a number of parks also. Perfect capture for danger.

A very useful sign, wonder if it scares the visitors off? Lucky over here we've only one and its bite is said to be similar to a bee sting.
Nice catch.

That is one sign I take notice of!
