Flying South

I'm giving up my PaD space today to my husband, John. He took this photo today while working up by Mt. Shasta.

The geese aren't really flying south, he'd noticed they fly back and forth every day,

For another of John's photos, a shot of Mt. Shasta after the first snow of the season, click here.

It must make your work must easier to be able to see such beautiful sights as the birds and mountains. Keep looking up. Mom

Now, there's a true sign of fall.

Your husband did a wonderful job capturing them.

i agree with robin,
i would like to put each bird into a program like animators studio as a frame by frame, and then make it into an animation of just one bird flying!

They could be CIA spy mini-planes fiendishly disguised as everyday household duckies!

Of course they are not flying South, obviously they are flying east, east is always to the right isn't it? Its like a series of frames from a movie each goose (gander?) is in a slightly different position.

Very nicely captured. I tried to capture a lot of long distance bird shots. Here is a gallery that you might find interesting.

Cool! Hey do you know why there's always an an uneven number of geese on each leg of the "V?"

I'll post the answer here tomorrow!

This is nice. It does look like one of the signs of fall.

Hi John! Tried all night to get a flock to come to me, they wouldn't listen. Nice views, both.
