Grand Canyon National Park

What can we say about the Grand Canyon that hasn't already been said millions of times by vistors who came before us? To say that it is awesome is true, but it seems like such an understatement! We ran through a snowstorm on the way from Zion National Park, but once there, we were treated to nice, cool weather. We camped at Grand Canyon Village in the park, and while we had lots of human company, we also were treated one morning to four elk walking through our campground! We also witnessed two rare California Condors flying overhead one morning as we hiked the south rim trail. In spite of the spectacular scenery, photography is challenging due to the high constrast resulting from the tremendous variation in canyon breadth and elevations.
