Hello Charles, Great orchid photography. What a pleasure to see well composed and executed photographs. I was interested to know if you could direct me to a place to get hold of Cymbidium earlyana. I have been looking for it for years but had not actually seen a living plant until I saw your photograph.

Keep up the great photography!

All the best,

Charles M

Charles,

Outstanding collection and photos! I have been admiring your plants for a couple of years now. Any chance you would trade or sell a division of your Laelia pacavia?

Matt

Robert-You might try Andy's Orchids or The Santa Barbara Orchid Estate.
They grow quite tall.Mine is spiking now and the spike is almost 3 feet tall and growing.

I was clicking around the AOS forum on random pages from the orchid picture section. I came across your posting and found the pictures of your CORGIS--great dogs. We've had Willie (tri-color) and his brother Archie (fawn) for about a year and a half. Yours are wonderful. Thanks for the pictures!

At times we were very close. The lions, maybe 20-30 feet sometimes closer when we were parked and they walked by.Some animals the Sable and some Elephants were very skittish.

Thanks for pointing me back to your photos they are all beautiful! How close to those animals were you? (Africa, not the pups!)

Charles,

Simply beautiful.

I have always felt that orchid photographs should show the whole inflorescence
in detali and not just a single flower.

Your photography amplify what I have always believed in and your photos tell the beautiful story.

Thank you for sharing.

Hybridman.

Charles.
Absolutely fantastic galleries. Inspirational. Many thanks for leaving me your kind message on my orchid page. My wife, who tends to the orchids, was also excited in the news that you are into orchids as well. I will come back and vist your site often, when I have more time to make note of your beautiful techniques, especially how you handle the background on the orchid pictures.

Best regards, Brian

Thankyou for visiting my little corner of Pbase Charles. I had a peek at your galleries, and was quite taken by your trip to Japan and onwards. It's a part of the world I would dearly like to visit, and your photos made me all the more determined to get there one day.

Keep shooting, Rob.

Thanks Charles for your kind comments. Your orchids are just wonderful (they are starting to bloom in our garden). My only comment is that you will run out of space very quickly on pBase as you are uploading huge files! Also, it tempts folk to nick your images which is endemic on this site! I now only upload low res (say around 640 pixels at the larges which is about 200kb).

Cheers
Sheila
