It is possible to climb over the mountain between Hatshepsut's Temple and the Valley of the Kings, following the ancient path used by the tomb builders.
This view of Hatshepsut's Temple was made from the beginning of the climb over the mountain from the temple site to the Valley of the Kings on the oppoisite side of the cliffs.
The climb takes about 45 mintues or an hour going up, and is very rocky and somewhat steep in places.
Coming down into the Valley of the Kings takes about 10 minutes as the path is steep and slick with loose shale.
