We stopped to admire the view as we climbed to the top of Petra over a rock path.
Donkeys with a guide to lead them were avaialbe for those who preferred not to walk the sometimes steep and rocky path.
It took several hours to go to the top of Petra, but was worth every minute.
And of course the same path down was just as steep and rocky in many places and it was sunset as we came out of the site.
