This scene taken in front of San Miniato, is a favorite photographic setting for anyone visiting Florence.
The 11th c. church of San Miniato al Monte is on a high hill top overlooking Florence's skyline.
It is easily accessed by climbing up a long exterior stairway on the Oltrarno side of the river, taking about 20 minutes,
It is also easy to get there by bus or taxi, but either way, the trip is well worth not only this view,
but also for the Italian Romanesque church, with its magnificent interior.
My Florence galleries from other trips have views of the interior. On this particular visit,
the church was set up for a wedding, shown in previous images in this gallery.
It is rare to visit Italy without fumbling into a wedding in at least one church!
