Cruising the Salvation Army last week we adopted a 'new' piano, a 1918 (according to our researcher) Schroeder & Sons Cabinet Grand Upright Piano 54" tall. These pianos were produced from about 1910 until 1929. Unique and distinctive features of construction are found in this piano, the most important is the overstringing of the instrument. This gives this upright the tone of a grand piano. It needs a bit of work, but sounds great!
