In late December 2014-early January 2015 I spent a week at a house called Cattan Beach, buried deep in the bush not far from Yarram and Port Albert. Such a secluded location is impeccably quiet and private, and just right for a restful break. A few days of sewing, reading, walking and eating out was just what I needed.
Many kangaroos live in the area, and some could be seen from the house. One hopped across the road in front of my car at very close range once when I was driving down the access road to the house.
