The Cape Breton International Drumfest was held at the well-known Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. Audiences witnessed several world-class, well-known, and well-respected drummers take to the stage and perform their music. Dom Famularo presented the crowd with motivational and inspiring talks and expressed himself further with his music. The "Cape Breton International Drumfest Legends Award" is presented at each Drumfest. Session drummer, Hal Blaine who was the drummer for over 8000 recordings that included hundreds of "hit songs" by many of the world's top artist won the award in 2005. The 2006 winner was Bernard " Pretty" Purdie who played with many well-known artists. There are co-winners for 2007, namely Denny Siewell & Steve Gadd.
