Leanach Cottage sits on Culloden battlefield the scene of the bloody massacare of the Highland troops led by Charles Edward Stewart "Bonnie Prince Charlie", by the Government forces led by William the Duke of Cumberland "Butcher Cumberland".
A very early example of ethnic cleansing followed.
Culloden is also the scene of the last battle held on British soil.
