Giresun on the Black Sea to Adana

These photos are from our journey from Giresun, back over the mountains to central Turkey. The scenery was spectacular. One of my maps showed the pass at 1200 meters, but I got worried when I realized that was a typo and we were headed much higher. Luckily, we had two days of clear weather so the roads were clear. Still, I was very relived when we saw our first dolmus coming from a town on the other side of the mountains; it was a sign that the road was passible. It was a long trip home, but the beautiful scenery made the trip go faster.
Many of the villages were across the river from the road, connected by primitive wood bridges.
