A common specie at Bang Pra. Easy to hear but not easy to see. This was my first sight from 2 days of trying. The bird was quite far away (50-60m) but the reach of the EF600 + extender + 400D was enough to get a documentary picture.
The Francolin is high up on my list of wanted birds. It's rounded smooth shape creates beautiful lines and the black and white pattern on the chest and belly is like nothing I've seen before. To round it off it has thorns on it's legs...
