When the pond heron was sinking to much through the leaf, he did a small "jump" over to a nearby leaf and continued fishing.

In this picture I set the expose adjustment to -1 full stop. This gave the correct exposure on the wings and the dark wing tips are clearly visible.
But I was flirting with the shutter limit at 1/8000s.
