The sheltering skies of Yorkshire

At times like this, I take a deep breath and think how lucky I am to live here.

This was taken late Friday evening, actually, but due to yesterday's rather long outing, I only tidied up my uploads tonight. And well, since we're doing SUNSET...
I was cycling home after a rather long chat with the daddy of Thomas, Brian, and the other one, and tumbling along the Teesdale Way, which was merely a line of slightly more trodden grass, I was getting a little afraid, as it was getting very very dark... occasionally, I had to lift my bike over stile and gates, which was kind of... knackering.

Back on safe ground (A67), I saw the sky like this... ahhhh! It was worth the cold, the ache and the nettles just for this! So I leant my Ixus on the rail of the motorway bridge... quite noisy, but happy memories of cycling out in the cold and colder... it definitely is getting very autumny, and I have brought the Charbonnel Chocolate to the front of the cupboard!
